San Diego Comic Con Black-on-black promos
MtvGeek news has a picture of new promo planeswalkers that will be only availlbale from SDCC. Link.
There's an image of a new Garruk and info of all five being availlable, but no data if they need to be purchased or are freely given away.
I know I would like to get a full set, but it remains to be seen how hard to find these will turn out to be. Hopefully somebody here can pick up a few spare sets.
These single event only promos do get a bit annoying.

I too would like a set or two of these and am willing to pay a price for them. I don't think there is any chance I can go to Comic Con, not that I see at the moment anyway.

I have an industry pass-
I have never gone to the WOTC areas there before, asides walking by, so I dunno how one acquires anything from them.
These do look neat. If there's not insane lines I'll try and see. I have friends there as well and will try and get some extras, provided the line isn't stupid.
I'll be there preview night and then probably the following 2 days. I can only take so much though... it's basically like going to an MTG event and then they put up the lists of players/opponents and everyone surges to the lists and there's too many people in close proximity to one another... that's similar to being at San Diego Comic Con these days.
Note---- On preview night maybe I can get these without the hassle- Not as much riff-raff will be there...
I assume if they give these away then there will be tons of them available? If I have to buy them then will they limit me to what I can purchase? Hopefully they have more info soon-

Honestly, tons and tons and tons of people go there... It's worse than Disneyland on a Saturday when a new Pixar ride is being premiered. I cannot see how these things will be hard to get unless they only bring a limited amount or charge $$ for them or something. SDCC has the worst crowds I have ever been to in SoCal which is saying something...

These are available on Ebay now, many were sold so far. The price is $299 though.
I'd suggest you to buy them while you can, as I don't see the price collapse after release unlike other stuff like this which was released in the past. I'm not the only one to think likewise.
It's an investment, but it's worth it.

It is said to be limited, and one per person.
The guys I bought mine from are used to the Comic Con, and have supplied stuff like this in the past.
I preferred to pre-order than be sorry later...
Whatever the price of these in the WotC booth, the price is set now, as many have been sold and make history.
IMO, this is what the box is worth, at least.

The reason I see them staying high is the fact that they are planeswalkers. But there already is speculation, like an increasing number of MTG product. Which will damage the product. But for now many will be happy to milk the cow.

You have to be quick (and save the search), as they sell very quickly.
This is one of the nicest promo item in years, and many collectors think the same apparently.
