I've just open a filler #001

Post by sib51 » Mon Apr 06, 2009 11:59 pm

Yesterday I've personnaly open some demo decks from the program "Here I rule" to learn Magic to some young kids and I've found a filler #001 :-D

So you can add this source (demo decks "here I rule" ) for the Filler 001.

Alexis,

There 're demo decks (One of each color) who're send to MTG shops to give to new players.
It contains a random assortment of post 10th Edition cards (C and U only)

Cards are randomly distribued (I've open lots of decks this past week end)

There're 5 sealed decks, a badge, post cards, etc....

Yes.
But mine were in french.
I can affirm that the cards are not the same in each deck: I opened at least 10 deck of each color ...
I also have dozens of badges with the inscription "here I rule" and some others things like post cards etc...

Hasbro 've send me 60 decks that I give to new players

I thought that these were pre-constructed decks that each contain the same cards (e.g. all White decks contain the same set of cards)?

Granted I've only opened a few of these, mostly to help new people learn to play.

Dragsamou, do you look for sealed copies (still shrink-wrapped)?

I have to check to see if I still have some shrink-wrapped ones and how many I have in general. Technically these are for giving out to new players :)

I don't tend to have very many new players and these typically sit for ages and get given out to kids.

I'll try to put some aside, then if I don't actually need to use them after some period of time, I can send them to you.

Dragsamou, I've obtained a sealed copy of each deck for you. Are you still interested in these?

I have had quite a few new players lately (about 14 in 2 months). Where did these come from and are they good for brand new starters? The store does not seem interested in such and just wants to sell the theme decks--which are ok but I would like to get a some stuff like our old Guru sets or the "starter" packs.

If you have a lot of them I'd be willing to buy or trade for some to give out and they really don't need to be sealed. I assume there is some kind of set deck that plays card by card with a play mat or some such.

These have been handed out free at a few event and were also available by signing up on the WOTC website to receive a free deck. I can't provide a complete list of way to get these decks, but there's a lot of them around.
