Retaliator Griffin promo decks.
Just curious.
For those of you that bought Retaliator Griffin promos at Target (or somewhere else) What deck was included with it? The two I got were the Silver and Gold Player's decks from 9th Edition starter set. Notsofasteddie is pretty sure he got a 7th edition players deck.
Wondering what else was stuck in these.

I seemed to be the only person at the Target by me interested in them (they do sell a lot of Yugioh there). My results varied. It was pretty easy to tell at the store which ones had land packs instead of decks, the land packs were sealed differently than the decks. It was also easy to see which had the decks from 2 player sets, they were a lot thinner than the regular decks. I avoided those, there were quite a few of each.
I did get:
The Jace deck from Jace vs Chandra
Both decks from Demonic vs Divine
Both decks from Elves vs Goblins
Some random theme decks

Always looking for:
Legends Presence of the Master (English or Italian)
Dark Sorrow's Path (English or Italian)
Non-English Contract From Below.

You can see if it has the info sheet/booklet shrinkwrapped with the deck. The ones from Duel Decks don't have that. You might be able to tell from the visible bit of the info sheet whet set it's from - depending on how well you recognize the different sets/sheets. I did actually get one that had the theme deck still sealed in it's original box.

Hay, good scoop there. I'm going back to Target for a better look.misterpid wrote:You can see if it has the info sheet/booklet shrinkwrapped with the deck. The ones from Duel Decks don't have that. Hey,
I think I'm going back too. I just discovered that of the three (3) remaining unopened Retaliator packs, one has a deck that is easily twice as thick as the others. Once again it would appear that size matters. I'm assuming that big is better.

Well I got back to one yesterday before the snows came (my car doesn't do snow and wife had SUV) but... sigh... they were all 9th ed starter decks. I couldn't even see a 7th ed one.notsofasteddie wrote:Hey,
