9 Pocket Pages Question

Post by ritnecrowin » Fri Mar 08, 2013 3:59 pm

Hey all
Years ago, I met a player who had a binder full of really thick; high quality 9 pocket pages.
They were either black or white -def. not clear...
but they were much thicker than standard sheets.

Can anyone point me in the right direction as to what they are or where to find them?

(mods if this is in the wrong place, please move to the appropriate.)

I remember these and they came in White and Black. I'm not sure they are made anymore and it was very difficult to get cards in them which could cause damage so I would be very very careful using them. I would suggest a Monster binder they are very good binder not super strong but better then the Ultra Pro's I've used in the past.

I believe this is what you're looking for:

Perfect! Thanks!

Does anyone have experience with these?

I was hoping to use them for The Disenchant Project- will the cards fit with a Perfect fit sleeve?

I've been looking at binders with sewn-in pages, and I think that likely the UltraPro Premium Pro-Binder is the way to go:

The main advantages over the Monster binder is that the plastic is free of PVC and there isn't a pattern on the black backing material. The pattern on the backing material can cause indentations on the cards if you don't use sleeves and you place something heavy on top of the binders. The secondary advantage is that the binders are cheaper than the Monster ones. I've heard that the clear plastic portion scratches slightly more easily than the Monster binders, but that shouldn't be a big concern if you are using it for storage instead of as a trade binder.

In another thread I mentioned these binders:

They don't have sewn-in pages, but the ring design makes it seem very unlikely that you would have problems with binder indentations. I really like the look of these binders, especially the slipcases. I haven't 100% verified that 9-pocket pages will fit, but it seems like they should.
