If an old hat collector can throw his 2 coppers in, let me say. The thing to remember ALWAYS is:

It is YOUR collection.

Don't let others set standards for you. Make a collection you feel good about and allow others to do the same. In my collection I like to have 4 cards in each slot, a milk-toast production card, one just like it signed, a foil--if produced, and an AP. Should someone else do that? Heck NO, not unless he/she felt good about doing it and liked the challenge it presents. I never look at someones collection and tell them what they "should" have and when I can I try to help them reach their goals, not mine.

Just a thought.

This is very unclear but interesting. I'm not sure where on the card you are refering. I looked at a few of mine and compared them with second printing BOP but could see no color difference. Could you scan an example of this for us?

Quite an astute observation there Azure Winter.

Every one of my first printing BOPs has that little "tick" on it and none of my second printing do. Even more interesting, to me, is that no other first printing green card (that I have) has that little spot on it.

Remembering how the plates were handled at that time and that we had to have them made out of shop and then send them to CM my SWAG would be that there was a small nick or damage to the plate itself or a small particle got stuck on it durring the process. If it was a particle it would not be as likely that all BOPs would have it. My sample is far to small to draw any conclusions from though.

Jesper used the same computer image for all the backings and they should all be the same so this indicates that something odd happened.

Keep at it man! What a cool project and best of luck.

OBTW, did you check Squt's list (link is on the link page). I glanced through it and couldn't find anything but there is soooo much stuff there I could have easily missed it. If he doesn't have it he would like to hear from you about it, I'm sure.

I have a question regarding German revised WB and 4th edition.

How do I distinguish it? I personally thought German revised WB's "i" has a slant dot, and 4th edition has normal circular dot.
