Japanese Hardest Sleeves

Post by Ertai's Familiar » Sun Oct 21, 2012 4:48 pm

Does anyone have access to these sleeves? I have been unable to find any for sale online. I believe they come in unbranded cardboard box and are sold only in Tokyo, though I've heard from others (Grandeur) that they have been exported to other Asia-Pacific countries.

Appreciate any information.

Regards,
John

Hey John, I remember seeing them in a store in Shibuya. I thought I asked you (via pm) if you were still wanting them, but it appears that I didn't since I can't find the message in my outgoing box. LMK around Thanksgiving if you are still looking for them.

They were exported to Madrid too about 4 years ago, I still keep a pair of boxes, but now we can't find those "Shuriken" sleeves.

Oh man, I had totally forgotten about those sleeves. They are insane awesome.

Clay, if you find an over abundance of these sleeves please let me know also wouldn't mind sleeving up my vintage deck in these again.

I have a box of 100 of them back home in PA. If I ever get back there I will pull them. I personally did not like them and found some other Japanese brands to be much better in every respect except thickness.

I also did not like them as it was a super hazzle getting them and it was a pain to get perfect seized cards in them.

I kind of figured as much because of the thickness. I was interested in trying them because I have heard some excellent words about them in prior discussions. I am also curious to see if the thickness helps keep foils in better shape (seems as though this is mostly environment based).

I have a box of 100 gold back home in Philly. Unfortunately I won't be back home for a long time. I live in Japan (for now) so I will be on the lookout for them. Seems like they disappeared off the face of the earth, only anime character sleeves and hyper mats here in Japan anymore.
