Post by equi-nox76 » Mon Jan 08, 2007 8:54 am

Hi,

does anybody know the artist(s) of those Promo cards? :-O Because it's not mentioned on the cards.

Thanks
Chris

Authenticy

Post by equi-nox76 » Fri Jan 19, 2007 8:09 am

Hi,

the more important question I have regarding those tokens: does anybody can explain me whether this cards are comparable with the standard Magic Cards (out of the size). I got a set from Ebay, but I honestly can not believe that this set is authentic. Because they seem to be printed on ordinary cardboard (maybe a little thiker) and one of them is miscut. They even do not pass the bend-test. They're just not Magic-typical.

I assumed that the tokens would be like standard magic cards just with the 10th anniversary Logo on their backs.

Would be great if anybody could help :-)

Thanks
Chris

Hi Alexis,

the answer must be somewhere here: http://www.cgame.cn/ (that's the game-link of JingHe www.jhpop.com/).
If I only could read this or just could find a contact, but my Chinese is that bad :-P
Any member can translate or forward a contact?

Thanks
Chris

The name of the Angel token guy is Jonathon Earl Bowser. I knew of his work before I saw that token for the first time.

You can see this painting here:

http://www.jonathonart.com/beck.html

The elephant token doesn't actually show an elephant, but a Mumak (or an Oliphaunt if you're a Hobbit, which I bet you are not :P). The artwork is from Alan Lee.

The soldier token and squirrel token both have signatures, but cannot see them clearly.
