Pro Tour Player cards

Post by Mister Foilcard » Sat Sep 05, 2009 8:14 am

We all know the three sets of Pro Tour Player cards from 2005 (25 cards), 2006 (30 cards) and 2007 (29 cards).

I need urgently the following information:
- in which languages these cards were printed?
- in which products these cards were inserted (Fat packs, I know. Others?)?
- are there other ways to get these cards (tournament participation or rewards and so on)?

Who can help with these information?

The Coldsnap precons had them, I had some Japanese and French ones.
This leads me to believe they are in all languages that Magic was printed in during their time.

Yvel,

Which set(s) had them in boosters? I don't recall ever seeing Pro Tour Player cards in Boosters.

Sad to say, Hans, but we don't all know. I never gave these much thought and just tossed them in a pile in my cabnet until a few weeks ago when I pulled them out and tried to seperate them.

I found this which partly answers your question about that set and what they appeared in.

But I could not find anything about 2005 or 2007. Anyone have a list of the cards for those years?

If you had wanted to hoarde a card these would have been it considering how many people threw them away or would have been happy to get rid of them. These cards have to go down as one of the worst MTG ideas ever...

I also do not remember seeing them in boosters. Thought they were only in tournament decks, theme decks, fat packs.

Also, someone had stated they started from Time Spiral forward, but I thought these player cards debuted with Ravnica?
