So how many stores are there now in South Korea? So max of 16 copies a store. These could get pricy.

In theory they could be advanced stores, which means 2 events a week, so double that. Still not lots tho...

A small suggestion;

Don't apply any known methodology of distribution, store size, or number of players to the availability of any given Korean promo card.

This is all decided by the distributor and he has his own agenda.

Just a word of caution.

The seller I am in contact with for the complete sets told me he "could not sell these cards", and he gave them to me (one of each) because I was a good customer. He seemed sincere when he was saying that, you could tell he meant it.

It looks like the "rules" are abided by in Korea. Thus, the cards would not be available on the secondary market in massive quantities.

I doubt there are "massive quantities".

If our concept of the rules are being followed in Korea it will be the first time in known history. If your talking about the FNM promo, then, by giving them to you (his customer) he was actually breaking the rules and selling them. You were not playing and you did not win them.

The distributor has made a sizable investment in establishing Magic and places to play. I doubt there are any truly "independent" stores or gaming locations and that may contribute to a continued local Magic presence. I really hope so.

What's the size of the Korean market by the way ?

How many inhabitants, how many gaming stores ? I have no idea how big Korea is.

Google can tell you.

South Korea is about 3x the land area of Belgium and about 5x the population.

I know Google can :-) but I always prefer to get information from members.

Thanks !

That is a nice market potentially... A bit bigger than Spain, but Korea is very dynamic economically.
