[Altering] Trying something new ... Japanization
Certain cards never came in Japanese.
And a lot of those cards ... are really freakin' good.
So I found that our very own andytalaga REALLY good at translating into Japanese, and his girlfriend proofreads his work, so we get very clean translations.
This is the first-born of the new process, they will improve as I get better at this, but I can tell you what.
This is the pimpest Hymn to Tourach out there right now ...

This is a good idea, I've always loved the Japanese font for Mirage/Visions/PO1/PO2Volcanon wrote:If the text was more like how it looks on an actual card (japanese characters are all spoz to be roughly the same size), it might look cooler for me.
Maybe you can copy the font they used for Mirage.
But as always I am not a printer/typewriter, so my technique has a ways to go yet.
I know about the same size thing, but this my first experiment. Expect High Tides and such soon.
When I find a perfect/semi-perfect method, I'm going to do my set of Force of Wills.
Maybe if things really work out well, and I want to take on the very tedious task ... Old Duals [-o<

Some of you may not be aware that the reason Primal Clay did not come out in Japanese 4th Ed. and that it, plus 6 more (if I remember right), did not come out in Chinese or Korean was because the reps in those countries felt the art may be offensive to their culture.Volcanon wrote:instad of japense, wy not do some other languag elike korean?
I post this as a joke because if any of you have seen Japanese cartoons, Primal Clay has nothing on them at all.
Actually the one considered the possibly most offensive was the Christian cross on the miter in Blessing. Now, LOL, 6000 miles from my cards, I can't remember if we finally took it off or not (shish, getting old has it's bad points--like memory--but still beats the heck out of the alternative).

Did you start collecting from the beginning ?
That is a real long story but the essence of the answer is yes.
