I don't know if anyone noticed this, but a customer was asking me about foils and thier rarity in the store the other day, I remembered it being around 1 / 70-75 cards but checked the booster wrapper for reassurance.

What I found was that both Lorwyn and 10th edition have changed foil ratios to 1:56.

TSP Block was 1:70, which is what I remembered.

I also seem to remember Urza's Legacy being 1:100-ish.

So, if im slow.. ok. If not.. hey, this is new info!

I just opened 2 Booster Boxes of Lorwyn,and I did get exactely 1 Rare,3 Uncommons,2 Lands,and 3 commons in both of them,while in Time Spiral I would get sometimes 10/13.So are you sure?

36*15 cards is 540 cards in a box

540/9 is 60 cards. Or, 1 foil per 60 cards.. which is right on/near the stated ratio of 1:56

Getting 12+ foils from a TSP box seems rediculous.. I never got that many and opened near to 4 cases.

I did open myself 10 Booster Boxes Japanese,and I promess you that I was getting a Minimum of 10 per boxes,I did even opened boxes with 2 Rares,others with 5 Uncommons,etc...This is how,I made my Complete Foil Set Time Spiral Japanese,also with the help of some Members for the last missing ones.

In 3 boxes of Lorwyn, here is what I got

9 foils ( 1R / 4U / 3C / 1L )
10 foils ( 1R / 1U / 5C / 3L )
8 foils ( 2R / 1U / 3C / 2L )

this works out to 1:60 odds.
