Quantity per card in Alpha ever printedl0qii wrote: It's a race to see who can get 4% (180 cards) of the entire Alpha print run of an uncommon card first. Pick a card, I suppose it doesn't have to be uncommon, but most are. Be first to get 4% of all of them ever printed. Win.
Rare: 1,100
Uncommon: 4,500
Common: 16,000

That means for 4% of the initial print run (not counting cards that might have been lost forever) you would need:
Rare: 44
Uncommon: 180
Common: 640
Land: 3400

It would be so cool if we all went after a different card and then owned most of the print run for alpha commons an uncommons.Muldoon wrote:Remember that this competition is about having fun and collecting, not about: The one who pays the most absurd prices all across the market wins.
While kikta's collection is quite amazing, he possesses the kind of financial means that few of us have. So don't get discouraged, if you start out with 0 or 1 of a card, because the race goes on ;)
While amassing rares technically is the same difficulty, I think the commons and uncommons are the true race targets, when you need 180/640 and not just a mere 44 ;)
Looking forward to seeing the first person to break the 180 mark!
