It is interesting that this "attempt to save money by using less black ink" pops up after the kid who recognized how much could be saved by font size, etc. gets international front page hype for being the first one to really discover the difference.dragsamou wrote:Hi Members

Considering How much flap there was over the idea of changing the backs of the cards to have an Arabian Nights set. This does not seem logical to me.

For $4500 I would hope the two "normal" commons are included!legacymagic wrote:The 2 cards in the photos with black borders are for comparison purposes only and are not included in the sale.

Peter responded with "I do not recall" when I asked him about such a project. This project is presented as having been done very early in company history, when Peter was much more involved in day by day operations, thus, his lack of knowledge about it puts some shadow on it IMO.
Later on, answers like that are understood in the framework that many things went on without his knowledge of details--a report on such a project, by the time it reached him would have been something like--"Magic brand is still working on ways to cut production costs".
My personal opinon is that the "ink" theory is a frantic grasp to provide some rationale for the cards in a void of actual knowledge.
Be interesting to see how it comes out. I think I'll offer him $50.00 for the lot.
