Graded Magic Cards/ Daniel Chang / MTG Stores

Post by lickaneye » Sun May 29, 2011 9:58 pm

Does anyone have experience dealing with this guy?
Just wanted to get some opinions on him.
From what I can see, all of their prices are overinflated.

I bought Mint Beta cards from him, and he sent them in a white envelope without a sleeve and charged me $4 to ship it.

I never bought from him again.

That's not good to hear at all. Was the card in a toploader at least?

I have quite a collection that I am considering to contact him to sell
but after watching a few of his videos I didn't really have a postive impression. I can't quite put my finger on it but just something about the way he comes across. I have no idea if he can get the prices he is asking for some of his stuff but I figured if I were to consign to someone, it may as well be to someone that can get top dollar.

I saw some of the other comments that other people had to say about Mr. Chang but I'm interested to hear more. So anyone with experiences good or bad, I think we can all benefit from.

If you want to sell your collection go through the big stores (fastest) or drop the big stuff here or MOTL. You get more money out of it.

This.

It's easy to see why. A lot of the people here at least entertain and enjoy the sentimentality of the game. He simply comes across as mercenary.

The toploader didn't mean anything, since the card had slipped out of it in the mail. Since I'm not a total D-bag, I didn't trash his Ebay rating, but again, no more buying.

As with what Markers said, if you need Beta/Alpha sold, you post it on here or MOTL.

Or post things as individually as possible on eBay. That is also a way to max out profit if that is the need.

Given the opportunity to rip you off, he will. Want proof? Message me.

My first response on these boards -unfortunately.
