I really hate those Auction Site broken links
A unique resin model of Spirit Link from Magic the Gathering from original artwork by Kaja Foglio. Standing roughly 18cm (7") high with high quality etching and detail, the figure is in very good condition, untouched since it was made in 1996 by Wizards of the Coast, and comes in a box with molded polystyrene to keep it safe.
Please also view our other Magic the Gathering and Vampire figures to purchase from the same set:
- Spirit Link (by Kaja Foglio)
- Prodigal Sorcerer (by Douglas Shuler)
- Hurloon Minotaur (by Anson Maddocks)
- Vampire (by John Bolton) - from Vampire the Eternal Struggle
- Baron Sengir (by Pete Venters)
- Serra Angel (by John Bolton)

Hi,
after some digging, theyre a set of UK prototypes done around 1996.
Never went to production. (The UK WOTC MD at the time was a former figurine sculptor, which is where the resin brown-and-white boxes also come from).
Answering my own questions here!
Cheers,
Karen

Actually they did go into production, but maybe not in the UK. They were released in Japan as a follow-up to the release of Japanese language cards. They were offered in white resin, allowing buyers to paint them as they wished. They seem to be pretty hard to find unpainted in most parts of the world, but Macone had no problem getting some for me off of Yahoo Japan.
They are a must for anyone interested in Magic statues. Not as tough as some of the true prototypes (like the Orgg and Goblin Grenade from the following year), but certainly nice. They are rare enough that some of the big-name Magic sellers have confused them completely.
