Do you want the textless dual land project to be endorsed by Magic Library or have it run by embers and independant of the site?

Textless Dual Land Project

Post by mintcollector » Tue Jul 26, 2005 9:16 pm

We as many of you may or may not know, Ralph has agreed to getting textless duals produced. The question arises if this project should be supported by Magic Library or if it will be ran independant by the site members? Running independant means no reference anywhere on the cards can have Magic Library on it, but if the project does get endorsed, then the card backs would support a newly developed Magic Library logo being done as a sister project. Vote now, as majority decides the fate of this project.

We need a 'don't care' vote. Put me there.

Hmm...this software does not allow you to add a poll option on an edit.

Well I'm not sure it's a good idea to begin with, but if it were to happen, Magic Library tokens would certainly be better than "random person" tokens.

Edit: And by tokens I mean proxies.

greetings all

i have cast my vote for magic library supported dual lands. publicity for the site may help it develop. one suggestion for the dual lands: make the cards borderless as well as textless. the first time i saw unhinged lands i thought that they would look much better without the border. i appaud those of you who are working to make this project work.

This poll will run for 6 more days, but so far it appears that the textless duals will definitely want support from Magic Library which confirms our need for the logo Ralph has been wanting.

I like the idea of having it be endorsed by The Magic Library with the yet-to-be developed logo.

Just seems to make it a stronger product to have a fairly well-known Web-site put its stamp of approval on a project.

Why would anyone not want to have it endorsed, anyway?

Also...

By default, it actually does allow you to do that. I'm not sure what's preventing it in this case, though.

The only reasons I can really think of that the textless dual project would then be 'waiting' on the logo project to fully complete so we can do the proper card backs. On second though...a second reason is maybe some people do not like the idea of commericalizing the cards.

I think they would do better if supported by Magic Library.
