Site Suggestion

One suggestion I have is that there be a link on the main (rarities) page that links to an A-Z directory of every promo card by name, and a link to every promotional thing it's been in. Something like:

Giant Growth [ FNM | JSS ]
FNM would link to the FNM page, JSS to the JSS page.

It would be a lot of work, but it would also give a clear directory for people who come in and want to find out what kind of card they have or their being offered.

I know Ralph has an index on his long list of things to do. I provided a sample index a few months ago. It will come eventually.

MagicRumorMill: I am not working on this project currently. Creating this index will be a lot of work, and I am not ready to work yet again on another huge update. While this index is a very good idea, its availability is not very urgent. Hence other tasks take precedence.

I liked the idea of an index a lot. A search option would have been great as well ;).

Anyway.. because I liked this idea, I decided to just start making a list for this project. So far I have listed all the cards from the following sections:

Tournament Promos
Media Promos
Alternate Art Land Promos
Special Purpose Reprints
Ultra Rare Cards
Oversized Cards

I will continue with the other sections as well.

I don't know much about computer stuff, especially HTML or whatever is needed to make the links we want. If someone can explain to me how to do this, I might be able to convince myself to continue working on this. :)

What's the problem with this one? It looks like it could be added to the website without a problem.

Or is the only problem that it's not completely updated yet?
And if so, then what is missing?

victorcamp's work is great. Yet including the index means significantly updating and maintaining it, which is much work. Therefore I have decided to postpone it until a few other updates are done. For this year, I have scheduled more enhancements for Magic Card Sets, more focus on missing aspects of Magic Rarities, and perhaps a new website (of course being part of Magic Library).
