Thank you for all the kind response (private and public). I am looking forward to setting into motion my (Magic-related) plans how to make a living.

dry cereal: Consulting you about US law would turn out to be a little ... lacking. Do not let that spoil your desire to send me all your cards, though. ;-)

Congrats. Now, I know one more person to send some crazy stuff to to ask if it really works that way in legal worls, or am I just going nuts :)

(And yeah, that stuff is carzy with all capital letters :)

Very cool news indeed! Now I can break all those laws in Germany I was planning on when I finally managed to get to Essen...

Gratulation. Das heißt du hast jetzt das 2. Staatsexamen hinter dir!?

Thanks again :-)

me-and_we: I passed the first exams and therefore earned my university degree. In theory, I could continue my education by working for the administration for two years and taking a second exams, but given that I do not want to work as a jurist, I see no use in it. I consider this a last resort, should all my other plans fail.

ende73: Wow, very classic! The truth is, however, I always despised working as a lawyer. Supporting people I did not want to support based upon a financial need was the basic reason why I always wanted to work for the government only (think of judge, public prosecutor, administration representative).

Congratulations. I've heard law school is a hard slog.
