why are you listed in the credits?

why are you listed in the credits?   if you're listed in only the "Thanks for donating to" column, then i suppose the reason is obvious (ie. you donated ;)), but if you're not, then why are you there?

i'm listed in 'em pretty much because i was in the right place at the right time.  during this sites inception, i provided images i had collected off of ebay and other places of such cards as the textless foil lightning bolt, the foil city of traitors, etc.  as this site became more popular, people began to show up who actually owned or had access to the cards in question.  soon, that which i could contribute was no longer necessary, but anyway, that's pretty much why i'm listed.

of course, that said, my contributions may well have done as much for this site as some of the later contributions have done, for without them, this site might not have attracted the future benifactors that it did.  it's also possible that that isn't the case, but i like to flatter myself, heh :)

A few scans, I believe.  Nothing too earth-shattering, just some prerelease cards, FNM Sparksmith, the PR Angel token, and my player rewards DCI card.  Unfortunately, I haven't been able to scan things as quickly since I got to college.  I should really donate as well, though.

I am listed as I used to have a HP 6300C scanner prior to it breaking.  Although many scans are donated here, many need quality improvement.  For Ralph/Bob, I was in the unique position of owning all the promos that I do and having  access to a scanner of superior quality.  I re-scanned in about 40-50% of the images and many of the scans Ralph has of are of my personal cards, overlaying prior images.

Sad part is, my scanner died on me.  I have been dead in the water for over a year now without a scanner.  I know I can simply buy another one, but I fear loosing the quality scan ability, mainly for foils, I once had.  I had been hoping that someone else would start sending Ralph suprerior quality scans as well.  someone did, but they also had a HP 6300C.  For those of you who do not know, this scanner is no longer made, and you can only get them from the secondary market, and more often times than not are used and probably not with much life left in them.  I have been toying with the idea that maybe it is just HP scanner quality and I shopped for any that the the HP True Color feature on them as the 6300C did.  Well the HP Scanjet 3970 seems like it might work, but I wanted to try and test one prior to getting one myself.

I don't know anything about this Foil City of Traitors though. I've looked through this site to find more info about it, but I can't seem to find it.
I do remember some images about the City of Traitors in different colours or something like that, but it must have been at least a year and a half ago when I saw them.

Does anyone have any info about this Foil City of Traitors for me?

the former was from, i think, cutting edge collectables (they also had a foil fighting chance, iirc) and the later is from the orig. ebay auction.

btw, if someone has the scans that this website used to have (incl. the foil pygmy hippo, etc) i'd like those!  it'd be great if the images that have been made available at some point were once again made available on this website, but i think the chances of that are minimal...
