Taking Plastic Film off of Cards - How to do it?
So, i picked up an Unglued Island for $0.50 @ a store, signed by Peter Adkinson.
But, after purchasing it, i noticed that it was covered in a plastic 'film' as to protect the card, or so the store-owner said.
Is there any way to take the film off? It isnt glued, its those films that 'stick' due to pressure.
any help is appreciated.

It should just peel right off.

Some of those films can be quite sticky and may peel the card as well. Rubber cement thinner, found at a graphic arts store, is excellent for removing sticky stuff without damaging the paper. Test it first on an expendable card to make sure it doesn't bleed the ink. When finished, it will evaporate completely without any residue.

Maybe putting the card above a MODERATE source of vapor (i.e. warm water) might help in the peeling-off process.

Goo Gone or something similar will probably work.
