How about posting a scan of one? I love seeing what people are talking about and debating.

When I get a little more time I can do some research and see what I can find out ... I used to do a lot of research as a city editor and think it is fun.

The last few I've seen went for about $5 each. Remember that Alpha cuts can be faked with a good straight edge.

Yeah, I wouldn't collect them either.
But maybe I pull one out of the alternate 4th starters.
Wow, that would be great:
an Alternate 4th Alpha Cut card  ;)

Spirit Link is a pretty cool one to have. Always liked that card. But again what has kept them from being valuable is the ability to fake them. Otherwise they'd go for more I'd assume.

Congrats on your pickup. A friend of mine just gave me some misprints for free simply because he doesn't care. I like these people.

I have an Alpha-cut Lightning Bolt.

When a friend of mine sold his collection, he gave me all his rarities - which included this one.

He said that he had been offered as much as $50 for it.

I never really thought that these were worth very much, but also don't really know what their value is.
