I really like how they are near-precisely cut in half. That's an impressive set.

Yeah I saw this set. I don't think that $300 is really overpriced. It's a lot of money, but what a rare item!

As singles, $75 a card is very steep, but together, I'd say the price seems right.   :P

suppose you come across ONE card like this on ebay, are you guys really willing to spend 75 dollar??

Then i will be so rich.

I have several of these 50% miscuts.

no serie though.

okay, it is a tad rare that 4 cards in a row are found, but when i bought a torment boosterbox, i got 15 miscut cards (each one had the name of another one a the bottom.

They were all uncommon and they all could be fitted under and above eacht other.

So my quesses are, they aren't 300 dollar rare.
They all came out of one boosterbox

I think the key parameters to define the price of a miscut are:
- The shown cards (rares, commons, etc.)
- The number of different cards that can be seen per card: 1, 2 or 4
- The percentage of the least visible card (up to 50%)
- The fact taht you have several connecting together

I think that the first parameter provides you with a basis.
This basic can then be multiplied by a factor given the number of cards visible on each card (1 -> x1 ; 2 -> x1.5 ; 4 -> x3)
Then I think the price raises exponentially with the % of the least visible card
Finally the fact you have two connecting together definitely BOOSTS your price

If I see one of these card alone on eBay (not the right one, though, much more expensive cause you see the borders, it's not a regular size, etc.), I would be able to bid up to $20-25.

However, for 4 cards connecting together, with one showing the border of the sheet and not even being the correct size, I think $300 is expensive but not overpriced.

:)

I agree...a miscut like this alone would be worth $20.  Two in a row $75.  Three in a row $150.  Four in a row I can see $300.

Of course using this logic, 7 or 8 cards in a row would fetch $1000.  The point is, how many times do you see them in a row?  Usually they'd be spread over several packs.

How much would you pay if you could reconstruct the whole sheet?

Just buy for 100 bucks an uncut printing sheet, cut them up to 50% misprints (got to have good scissor skills though, but it can be done).

sell 4 in a row for 300 and you're in!!

Use a good quality paper cutter to cut the cards out!  You'll probably need to do the corners by hand though.

Years ago I had the chance to buy a complete 4th edition Starter pack  that was miscut.
I was new to that business so I only bought 8 cards for a few bucks.
They all connect perfectly together on a 9er Pro Sheet but missing the middle card  :-/
I AM STUPID, I know, please don't tell me  :'(

Nevertheless I really appreciate those prices  :D

Never realised rows of miscuts went for so much. I have 5 in a row, running top to bottom, with about 75%/25% showing. Reprisal & Mox Monkey are on it. I play with them on occasion.

I wish I had more playable miscuts, I'd use them in a deck or something...
