More HP backed cards?

Post by Arcane_Hellkite » Mon Jun 07, 2004 11:57 am

While browsing Mtgnews, I came across the following thread which may be of interest to members here (mainly Drags ;) ) if it is in fact true.

http://forums.mtgnews.com/showthread.ph ... ost2227819

If it's true, do you think there's a possibly there's at least 1 of each different deck type like this out there?

if he really had 'em, it's likely that interested buyers would inquire, privately, and snatch 'em all up before anyone else got a chance...

the person buying might even offer more than what the previous cards sold for, out of fear that these might sell for more.  i mean, we never saw gamingjim's final bid amount.  also, jltoolman might very well seek to have a monopoly on these cards.  and finally, who knows...  maybe the magic rarities community would be more interested in these than they were last time, although with members recently spending lots of money on crazy clowns tokens, that's kinda doubtful, heh.

Hi Terra.
In case this is true,I do believe that JLtoolman will not be so happy, because he will not have something Unique
anymore.I don't think that the price will match the First one(13100$),you never saw Jim Final bid amount,
because, when he wanted to put his,he was already outbided. In case this Precon, will be on Ebay,I will not be
interested anymore, but if a Lonely HP Mountain is eventually available  ;) :)

I hope it goes up on eBay.  The last time was the most excitement I've ever seen around here!  :D

This kid wrote me privately through my misprint website saying basically the same thing he said in his post.  I would be highly skeptical of its authenticity, but he isn't asking for cash outright, and it's certainly possible he has one...

If the authenticity can be proven, I'd love to see the deck split up among rarities members.  It would be another nice perk to being a member, and even one card from the deck would be a great addition to any rarities collection...

As mentioned in one of the threads on mtgnews (this person started many threads there), the one mana could be the foil land card.

In theory, aren't two starters printed on each sheet? This could be the other one.

Did anyone contact him? I'd imagine one of our trusted members lives somewhat close to him.

I've been emailing with him.  He says it was the first magic product he ever got, and he has had it for months.  He's played with it, too  :-/.

The owner of this alleged HP backed deck has informed me that he's going to put the deck up on e-bay.  I tried to convince him to let me sell individual cards to the forum folks, but it was to no avail.

I asked him to let me know when the auction starts.  If he does, i'll let you guys know.

Hi !
I have "news" for this issue in general:
There must be "many" floating around now. I was offered
a Yu-Gi-Oh card with Magic back  :o
The owner can't verify its authenticy. But he assumes that it is genuine. Can this be true ? I mean were both editions printed at the same factory at least ?
I can offer/send scans !
Greetings
Jan

THAT i´d really like to see, especially concerning the size of an yu-gi-oh card... and the fact that i´m almost sure there not printed in the same place....
I collect foils and FBB Base Sets. PM me.

Yu-gi-oh isn't even on the same grade of card stock as Magic cards ... I'd say there's a really good chance that its a fake.
