Not quite! You need to have the hydraulic press, and they normally run many thousands of dollars (unless you know someone with access to one). And once you find that, you still need uncut sheets of magic cards that you can slice and dice in weird ways. You probably want at least a few (or a reasonable facsimile or two) so you can practice to get your technique correct. Stroke distance, hydraulic pressure, and backing material all play an important role in getting clean cuts. Since both of the uncut sheets of most cards and the presses are somewhat rare, and are never found together, having the proper die only gets you started.

On the other hand, if you had the uncut sheets and had access to a press, you could make misprints. The question is whether the misprints would be worth more than the uncut sheets.

To me, this would mean that cards that are well off center on only one side should be considered the most expensive rares, since it would be almost impossible to fabricate these after the fact.
