Who is collecting a Summer Magic set?

Post by berkumps » Sun Jan 21, 2007 7:42 pm

Just out of curiosity, does anybody know if someone is trying to collect this set? I remember seeing a while back a bunch of Summer Magic ebay auctions ended and they were pretty much all won by the same person (I can't remember their ebay user ID).

Good question actually, I have always wondered who owns a full set out there.

I believe the guy you remember is kikta on Ebay (sk1 here). He should be at a good point on the set by now.

Hi Alexis,
I have invastigated a littel and I think your number is out of bounce.
Looking on people who where buying and selling summer cards in the last year, allways the same people where involved.
Please could you get more prcice on the numbers?
I know of three peole who are trying a set and one person that has it done.
Also in getting with these people I come to the mentioned conclusion.
Also in these people I know including me only 4 Summer Shivans exist.
I have asked arround very often to find one and no a sinle more appeared.
this leads me to the maximum possible set size of 4.
lets say that there are other people out there that like the card and collected it even befor I thought about it, I come to the conclusion that there might be another couple arround, but I can not imagin them beeing in one of the collections you mentioned.

So, why don't we start NAMING the people who have the sets?

Or we could start a thread entitled Summer Census to find out who has what from Summer.

Maybe because they dont want to be named? or are not even members of this board? or because it is rude?

Does anybody have an idea on how many booster cases survived and were shipped to England and Texas? Also, does anyone know where any sealed boosters exist?

There are plenty of sealed boosters, you see them forsale on Troll and Toad and other high end sites periodically for astronomical prices.

I was once told (by a well informed source) that only 1 sealed confirmed box existed, and it was sat on the desk of someone at WotC where it would likely remain until the end of days.

How is it rude? Why are we having a discussion about who has summer sets, and all we can say is "well, I know of X sets." Name names. I have THREE summer cards, and if I had a set I'd damn well let people know.

In the end I double checked with alexis.
It's not that he knows 5 people that have a finished set.
but as of his knowledge 5 People are trying to finish there sets.
One of which is done and is now only upgrading bad condition cards to nm versions. The others still have a long and hard way. And bascily its exat the same people I thought.
