From the first eBay auction:
This is the extremely rare Fruitcake Elemental.

I received this card for being a delegate for Wizards of the Coast AND fulfilling additional requirements to be eligible to receive this card.

I believe there is roughly 100 active Delegates and out of those only a handful participated in the program needed to receive this card.

I believe that probably 30 to 40 of these exist maximum.

Due to the rarity of this item I am shipping it Priority Mail in the US, or Global Priority internationally.
Could be hype info for the auction and opinionated at best, but it could be real. It will be interesting to see what this first auction closes out at.

[EDIT]: I had to come back here and post something I just noticed. The seller did a 3-day. This is typically done to get the auction done and over fast. Also a ploy to use sometimes to get big money quickly on something that may be more mainstream. We will need to see if more FEs come on eBay in more numbers. If this card was as rare as the seller says it is, I think he would have opted for a longer auction time. This discredits his claims in my opnion just a little bit more.

I can confirm that these are real, and WOTC promos. I can only assume that because they are silver bordered, they are not tournament legal.

Now, I just have to get one...

If this is so wide spread, then this seems to be a more standard holiday mailing. Kind of like the Memory Lapse given out in 2000 to judges. I'd be interested to hear about what types of people are getting these cards. Are they only delegates, or are judges getting them as well?

Alexis: Excellent reporting. This inherently shows proof that there will be a lot of these going around. If France alone got that many, one can surmise that there are at least 1000+ of these worldwide if one looks at all the countries wOTC operates from. So fully distributed, I think we can definitely see pricing stablize near judge card promos. $50-$60 is what I am looking to pay at most right now. This card may drop to $30-$40 since it is tournament playable.

It is a silver border, isn't it?

Wow, though, even if it isn't tourney legal, isn't this the first time in a long time that we've gotten a unique promo?
They have all been re-hashes for a while now.

I believe this is the first unique card given out officially as a holiday gift. By unique I mean it never existed before. Maybe new type of card is a better term.

Another way this card was offered:
