How do i know what is the WOTC?

Portuguese Fifth Dawn Booster:
ISBN 0-7869-3460-3
Barcode: 07693096968

there are two numbers right on top of the line that says:

'Magic is a creation of Richard Garfield':

969681900

and, right next to it:

15096968001 PT

What are all these numbers?

Mr. C: WOC is wizard's internal product number.  I have here an English Revised Starter.  The barcode is on the bottom, the WOC number (6100) is opposite the price in the lower left hand corner of the back panel.

I've always preferred WOTC (Wizards Of The Coast) to WOC because it's so much more fun to pronounce: Whotcie! ;D

The company *is* generally appreviated as WOTC, but it actually says "WOC" on the box next to the number.

Hmmm ... You thus say "Whotcie". In French, we have to pronounce "Doubleuvéhotécé", it's much more annoying ;D
Please help me finish my Boosters collection

Thank you all for sending in numbers. Just wait a little longer, and you will finally have an overview of what is missing.

Graue Eminenz: Good find! The question now, whether the code is identical to the one of standard Fourth Edition starter deck boxes. Chances are high it is, but I need a confirmation.

Mr. C: The WOC number has changed during the years. It used to be a short number (4 or 5 digits), always starting with the letters WOC. Starting with Onslaught, they changed it to a long number (8 digits) and removed the letters WOC. Starting with Odyssey, they have also introduced a second number. I still need to find out its function.

dragsamou: Another exotic item has been secured. Good! One question: Can you tell anything about the Art.-Nr.? Where is it placed? Is there a logo nearby?

What second number?  Looking at a Kamigawa Starter, I see the bardcode and the ISBN number, the WOTC product code (9 digit), and the product tracking code, which is something that was new starting (i believe) with 5th dawn.  What other number?

Celebrindor: Just have a look at a booster pack from Onslaught or a newer set. There is a UPC (barcode), there is sometimes an ISBN (English and Portuguese), and there are two more numbers. One has 9 digits and can be considered the new WOC number. The other one has is longer and is formatted the following way:

150 AAAAA BBB CC

AAAAA is the first five digits of the new WOC number.
BBB is a random number, I need more data to find out more.
CC is the language abbreviation and consists of two letters (EN,IT,FR,DE,PT,SP,JP,CT,CS).

Given the layout, this looks like a second, extended WOC number, but I do not know why they have switched to two numbers. Maybe one is for WotC, the other one for Hasbro?

Hi Ralph,

4th Edition Starter Display Box (English):
WOC 6100
ISBN  1-880992-25-6
Barcode 7 42818 16100 8

4th Edition Starter (English):
WOC 6100
ISBN 1-880992-25-6
Barcode 7 42818 06100 1

As you can see the ISBN is different to alt. 4th.

Jan because you also own a display box, can you tell us the data for both, the display box and the starter?
