The sole Japanese 4th Edition WB card that I have seen a scan of and which is not from a Rivals box is Chuck's one:
http://home.att.net/~plastereddragon/srp/srp_jap.html

Maybe Macone or MichaelinOsaka can help?
Regards,
Eric.
Hi Eric.
I really have a hard time finding any 4Th Edition White Border in Japanese on the Internet, the only one I found so far is Chuck's one  :o
I hope that our Japanese Members can help.I will try on
my part to dig further onto the Internet.

Hi Eric.
The Objective is to find 4th Edition WB 1996 Japanese
Cards from the Rivals List to compare with the 67 Rivals Japanese 4th Edition 1996 that I have.In this way,I can compare Text,Flavor Text, etc. If they are exactly the same at that time Ralph may decide not to put them on
the Rivals Section, since they will be Only Normal 4th Edition WB Japanese 1996.
Hope it's clear.

No, the objective (at least mine ;D) is to find whether these "normal" Japanese 4th Ed. WB cards are extremely rare or not. They seem to be. I'm starting thinking they have only been released in the booster packs that were in the Rivals Boxes.

And referring to your previous post "the only one I found so far is Chuck's one ", I thought you were also looking for non-rivals WB 4th. cards :)

By the way, don't go browsing Yahoo! Japan, I have found nothing that could help you.

Regards,
Eric.

Hi Eric.
As you know, they were 2 Boosters in The Rivals Gift Box
and a Rule Book,it will be interesting to compare it to a
Normal 4Th Edition Japanese Rulebook.Regarding the
fact that WB may have been only in Rivals Japanese Boosters,I seriously think that's not logical, meaning you could get a Stone Rain only from Rivals Gift Box,what about Starter 4th Edition WB,or normal 4th Edition Japanese Booster.Otherwise that's mean 67 different
Cards from Rivals and 311 that you need to get from 2
Boosters from Rivals Gift Box,that's a lot of Gift Box to buy to have a Complete Set of WB Japanese 4Th Edition.
Probably the most Expensive and Rare Set In MTG History  ???
PS:Ralph ,I guess you have to process my 67 Japanese Scans  ;)

Experience has shown that the white-bordered counterparts of black-bordered sets in non-English languages are all hard to get because they all exist in very limited numbers. The Japanese white-bordered Fourth Edition set should not be any different. Personally, I doubt this set was distributed only in Japanese Rivals Quick Start Sets.

By the way, I have been away for two days and I probably will be away for two more days. Therefore, email replies will be delayed.

This should settle the discussion, T&T has a Japanese 4th Ed. WB set for sale ...

It must be somewhat hard to find since it costs more than it's bb counterpart, but it's not so much that I would consider it ultra rare. I think it's only rare through neglect. Usually everyone focuses on the bb and ignores when wb comes around.

Does someone have a Japanese 4th Edition set or at least the possibility to access images of its cards? It is still an unsolved question whether Japanese Rivals cards are different from plain white-bordered Japanese 4th Edition cards.
Just ran across this, Ralph, have your questions been answered? On of the confusing things about the 4th Ed in Japanese, Korean, and Chinese was that several cards were omitted because they were too sexually explicit or whatever. I have no information on any of the WB sets but do have complete BB sets that I assembled at the time of their release.

Hi Gary

This is a very old topic, Ralph has been out of MTG and the forum, 7 years ago, so I will answer for him. About the omitted cards, answers have been provided in more recent topics, and a compilation has been added on Neuron's website as well:
http://greendisenchantproject.jimdo.com ... ing-cards/
Regarding the 5Th Edition Simplified Chinese, I have updated not so long ago, the complete list of 350 cards (Page 1 of this topic), in order to find out if more misprints exist, as I don't own a set, I try to complete it whenever a new scan is available on the internet.
If my memory serves me right, I did compare with Berkumps my complete Japanese Rivals set with regular Japanese 4th Edition WB cards, and they were the same.
