Post by Cizzio » Sun Sep 28, 2003 4:56 pm

How can I tell if a card comes from:

Italian WB Revised or Italian 4th?

same with:

German WB Revised or German 4th?

----------------------------------------------

And I also wonder what eleven card do have copyright date of 1995 in French WB Revised and how i can tell difference with the same cards in French 4th?

----------------------------------------------

didnt know where to put this question

One more question...

Is the cards from Japanese Rivals the same card as in Japanese 4th? As both has copyright date of 1996..

Or are there other differneces, I guess this question is a bit harder for u guys to have an answer to but it would be realy appreciated if u could give one...  ;D

As far as I know Japanese WB 4th and Japanese Rivals are totally indistinguishable.

Thank u guys! And realy thanks for that nice link..!

another question... u know someplace to find the 5th - Simplified Chinese checklist? since this set was stripped down and uses an expansion symbol... it would be nice to know what cards where left out from the usual 5th. And perhaps something has been added?

While the secret of the S-Chinese 5th Edition set has been uncovered a while ago, others have not. The following sets are not even known by their number of cards they consist of:

- Korean 4th Edition (apparently this set only exists black-bordered)
- Korean 5th Edition
- Traditional Chinese 5th Edition

Does someone have a Japanese 4th Edition set or at least the possibility to access images of its cards? It is still an unsolved question whether Japanese Rivals cards are different from plain white-bordered Japanese 4th Edition cards.

I've only ever seen black bordered japanese 4th edition, which I have nearly a complete set of. There was white bordered?

There should be. I have two different boosters of Japanese 4th Edition (different ISBN, different Sku#, slight differences on the pic front).

Regards,
Eric.

EDIT: hmmm... Ralph has been quicker and smarter than me ...
To complement on Ralph's proof, as Stone Rain is not part of the content of the Rivals boxes, we are sure there has been a Japanese 4th Ed. WB set.

However, I wanted to stress out that finding those is extremely difficult. On eBay, we see loads of Japanese BB cards and packs but we don't see any Japanese 4th WB ones ...

I have found only one pack of Japanese 4th WB. Each time I have asked seller on eBay, they had BB packs.

FYI:
- Japanese 4th Ed. BB packs: WOC#22002
- Japanese 4th Ed. WB packs: WOC#22006
Regards,
Eric.

Hi Members.
It will be easy for me to compare the Rivals Japanese
with the WB 4th Edition Japanese, but I do not have any 4th WB Japanese except the 2 Sealed Japanese Boosters that were included with the Japanese Rivals Gift Box.If anyone can provide me a link to Scans of the 4th Edition Japanese WB,I will be happy to make comparison.

The sole Japanese 4th Edition WB card that I have seen a scan of and which is not from a Rivals box is Chuck's one:

Maybe Macone or MichaelinOsaka can help?
