Wow! I hope you didn't loose all your coffee or burn yourself.......

JK...

That is terrable, I have come sooooo close to doing that and it seems like my age is catching up on me. I hit things with my coffee cup that I just know were NOT there when I started to move it.

Hopefully the "water resistant" coating CM used to put on their cards still works.

:'-(

Well, Richard has a strikt rule: no food and drinks at a MtG table.

He's right and I follow that rule too. In times were decks are at 1000$+ you should not take any risks.

My compassion, Patrick

I once spilled a tall glass of water on my friend's legacy deck at a diner....awkward!

Please let us know the scope of the damage.

Ouch... that hurts :'-(

I double sleeve my EDH decks for that very reason, but when I'm working at my desk sorting or cataloging I understand how that might happen. I too have a firm "no beverage" policy around my cards but truth be told, a man's gotta have his java :-P

Best wishes to you and your cards.

Let us know if we can help out.

Also, if there is some water damage, go get some silica packages and a rubber-maid container.

Thankfully, there's only about $50-75 worth of cards that I could not save. Pretty much all the cards were sleeved in perfect fits, however my edh deck was situated such that the opening of the perfect fits was staring directly at the afronting coffee wave, and thus said coffee penetrated every sleeve up to the height of the offending liquid. The good news for that deck, was that it was sorted, with lands at the bottom, so it was mostly Korean 5th lands that got damaged in that. I can live with that, since I have hundreds of them.

There were no Japanese foils worth more than $10ea that were damaged, however I had just recently purchased a JPN foil Mistform Ultimus for my Mistform Ultimus EDH deck, so now I'm going to be playing with a pimped out, bubbled up general that's all hopped up on caffeine, which I must say, will probably be quite unique.

I wonder if I could pursue legal action against McDonald's for making their coffee "too flowable"?

I heard McDonald's changed their coffee quality to compete with Tim Horton's. Is it any good?
