Hi everybody,

My name is Dan, I'm new to the site after some years off from magic. Read some great posts about magic art and would love to see your mtg originals! I recently picked up a few so here is my application for membership. Share your pics!
cheers,
Dan

How do you store your original art? The angel is no problem, but what is with the art painted on unframed artistboard?

Yes the Blightsteel is painted on 1/8 inch thick artist board which will be framed once I have some time and extra cash to do so. I haven't figured out how I'm going to have it done I believe the angel is on the same material.

To be more specific this is what the colossus is done on "oil on masonite" right from the artist.

I think Rahn is painting every picture with oil on masonite;)
A lot of artists use the artist board for painting... ok only the last legion who is painting with real colors (acryl or oil). Digital art is nice...but very bad for us collectors!

It would be nice if you could add some info on prices of these artworks (or something about the price range... $100 - $500 - $1000+).
I like the artworks but I have no idea of how much are they valued on the market, except for what ends up on the auctions site.

Bon Giorno!

Art is one of those things that's difficult to price and just comes down to what two people are willing to transact at, ultimately. Its also a bit complicated by the fact that each piece is one of a kind so people aren't always really wanting to share what they paid.

I sold the Uncle for $600. Bought it on ebay four years ago, sold it on MOTL to an Istvan collector.

Would it be impolite to ask where all of you find/sell such pieces other than ebay (the only place I know :'-( ) ?
