Not incredibly awesome stuff, but still brings me closer to completing my global collections. Thanks Ulli for the MKM assist!

My mail comes all at once, firstly because as soon as I get paid I spend it all in one go, secondly because it all gets sent to my sister's house and then has to be smuggled in without my wife ever finding out (I have tried other methods but we work together so I occasionally get busted if packages arrive at work)

Today's visit was very productive, my care package from cardplace.ru turned up, as did the long awaited Italian collection from Magisterum from Magic Card Market, along with an assortment from eBay, including several free gifts from people grateful to offload their dusty boosters.

So first up, from Russia, with love...

Image

Mostly full sets, still need one Rise of the Eldrazi and three Time Spiral.

Next up is the Italian Job lot...

Image

All full sets, which makes life a lot easier

Finally, some odds and ends...

Image

Mostly German and Portugese

As much as I love getting boosters I now have 137 to bag, seal and find a home for. And I ran out of bags and albums a long time ago...

LOL - that's really funny, because I just got some sealed Unlimited boosters in the mail today too...

... OK, it was only 1 booster, but still :-P

Take it easy,
Jared

Edit: I was looking at that box again and it really takes me back to the joy of hitting the hobby shop and finding one of those in stock. I'd buy the whole thing and tear packs/sort cards for hours, loving every minute of it. My friends thought I was crazy to buy "so many" cards, but I didn't care. Even though it was expensive at $108, I splurged anyway.

Ah... 1993... I remember you well :)

I spent about 2 minutes ogling that picture with deep longing...then felt uncomfortable because I'm in public. Oh man, what I would do to that box of magic cards....

Well I hope you would consider opening it and distributing the contents to the booster collectors before you did anything else!

It is nice to know that such items are still out there, I have an empty box, closest I got to Unlimited, being a 94 late comer.

I agree! It is nice to know some still exist. Does anyone have any idea how many sealed boxes might exist "out there" from Alpha, Beta, Unlimited, Arabian Nights... ? I mean, Wizards didn't even print that many...

My dream would be to play a game of Alpha, Beta, or Unlimited sealed draft... that would be both wonderful and horrible (because of opening so many sealed treasures).

I think if I were a billionaire, I would do that... :-P
