I bought a couple of the lighthouse binders because I really liked the slipcase for my cards. But when I used them I found the rings to be way too flimsy and no lock to keep them closed.
After about two weeks the pages would just fall out. [-X
I have enough cards to stack them all up, and commit suicide off the top!

Sorry to hear about that.

Not had that problem with my Lighthouse binders, I have about 15 of the Grande, 2 of the Vario size and one smaller, leather album for coins.

Not had any issues with them as yet but I don't tend to give them a lot of traffic, they don't get opened that often and I don't tend to open and close the rings much.

I find the four rings to be better than 3 or 2.

Light house has some sheet lifters to fit the albums as well. but they are on back order at the moment.

Got more sleeves of same type from China today. So, I'll be sleeving again. It's the same sleeve, only now the hanger end is no longer white, just clear.

GBH -> did you get your sleeves sample buy yet? Tried sleeving? Interested in your experience on the boosters I had trouble with (Mirage block).

No, they haven't turned up yet but I am not in a rush, keen to try them out though.

The clear tabs sound a bit better. No tabs would be better still :)

Tried the hairdryer trick. It is possible to carefully expand the sleeve. Lot's of heat and pressing a salad spoon in the sleeve stretches the sleeve aproximately 0.5 - 1 mm. The salad spoon is the only thing I can find at the moment that is slightly larger than the sleeve width. At least I can sleeve the near impossible ones, but still very tight. The booster wrapper tends to wringle at little inside the sleeve which is also not perfect.

Mine turned up this week, haven't had a chance to have a play yet.

Came with a nice free gift, depending on how you feel about banknotes, personally I quite like them :)

I will be cutting a former out of cardboard, something the shape of a booster but a bit thicker, just to make sure the sleeve keeps its shape as it cools.

I could have found the reason why some boosters are more spacious and hold more air, thus can't fit properly in the 70mm banknote sleeves. I studied my booster packs and found that the vertical seam differs. Reading the wrapper also reveals that boosters origin from different factories.

To sum this up, you need to AVOID boosters originating from the Belgium factory. They have a more loose wrapper and do not fit well in the 70mm sleeves. The backline vertical seam has long vertical lines.
The boosters originating from the U.S. are all perfect fits. The seam on the U.S. factory boosters have small horizontal lines.

Check these pics as an example:

So, I guess I'll try buying a couple of U.S Conflux Boosters, just to validate my discovery. Maybe GBH already can confirm?

Somewhere around here is a thread regarding the different variations.

Needless to say I am trying to collect one of each variety, including the Canadian ones.
