Wow, nice. I know a guy who has been looking for a Tabernacle proof. We're racing to put together a proof set of Legends. I'm not sure what to think about price. I remember paying $26 for mine back when Tabernacle was a $25 card. Generally high-end cards do get a boost from the value of the legal ve...

Probably means not common, but Russian cards in general aren't common enough for most of us to really know.

It may be that more than one sheet was cut up, but clearly they were not cut from a sheet by a factory process since the cuts are all different. Would have been more believable if there were a stack like that all cut the same way.

I guess I just don't consider the risk to be that high. You're talking about a risk of loss that's in the low single digits, compared to likely several hundred dollars in bid price. A P3K set is a larger sale than any I've done internationally, but I've lost literally two pieces of mail in eleven ye...

There was an English set auctioned recently. It may have dropped off the completed listings by now though. Bid price was $2600 from a seller with good feedback but a fairly hostile shipping policy. I would expect $3000 to be reasonable for an auction that ended late in the evening on a Saturday (Eur...

It's much easier for me to rationalize the existence of Alexis' cards than the Savannah. A spot on a printing plate runs out of ink, has a trapped air bubble, some small amount of adsorbed grease in the cardstock keeps ink from sticking there... The Disk and Assassin are clearly missing ink, while t...

For what it's worth, I contacted this seller about the time of the last post in this thread, and came away fairly convinced that they are fake. He seems to be a hobo posting from a stolen smartphone. Not literally, but he only spelled about 40% of his words right and the story behind the cards wasn'...

It's been confirmed that some leftover Alpha rares were put into Beta decks to save on production costs at the time, but I've not heard of any way to tell which decks those might have been.

There were no APs of Unlimited... Such a misprint is certainly possible - we've all seen the 5E double prints that have a blank side. I definitely played with unsleeved CE cards in a deck of Fallen Empires around the kitchen table (Breeding Pit and CE Bad Moon!) back in 1994/95. Highly unlikely thou...

Gary, if you're referring to the Llanowar Elves and Tundra Wolves, the splotches do indeed connect. This has been the case with all others I've seen. A spot on the printing plate didn't get a particular color of ink, resulting in a partial albino due to a traped air bubble more or less. I have up to...

That would be a good question to ask. I have, and have opened, a fair number of blotched cards like Gary posted. None have ever had the blotch extend into the border as this Savannah does. Usually it's a blotch of missing color. The Sakura-Tribe Elders with the pink headband are the only ones I can ...
