There are a lot of free blog providers out there, if you want to track your project as a blog. " blogger " comes to mind. If you are willing to shell out a few bucks a month, there are full featured blog providers that will give you everything you need for a full website and blog. I strongly recomme...

I too am trying to complete a global set of Stone Rain and I can appeciate the amount of work it would take to make a global set of Mountains. Good luck to whomever wants to try it. Just making the list is hard enough. BTW I have extra Russian BB9E, and Japanese CofK stonies. Do you need either of ...

I'm not touching this project with a 10-foot pole. :-*) I too am trying to complete a global set of Stone Rain and I can appeciate the amount of work it would take to make a global set of Mountains. Good luck to whomever wants to try it. Just making the list is hard enough. This reminds me. I ran t...

People don't like to be fooled. Even if it is for their own good. I understand the hostility this "test" has evoked. What Raphael/Dragsamou need to keep in mind is that they DO have excellent reputations and therefore people trust them. So the test, per se, is not really all that accurate. Yes if so...

I do not mean problems in the league of broken images or dysfunctional links. I mean more subtle flaws like misaligned text, misplaced spaces between elements, and inconsistent table formats. While they do not render the website useless, they diminish its aesthetical value. I plan to tweak the new ...

IMHO Gunslinga is absolutely right. In general terms that elf is worth somewhere in the neighborhood of $5. Why anyone would pay $65 for it is beyond me, but then, ultimately a card is worth whatever someone will pay for it. Perhaps the buyer really REALLY likes elves and wanted this one very badly....

Wow, Big Games, I'm sorry man. As an atheist, I can relate to being shunned for my religious beliefs (or rather, lack thereof) but it's really hard if you are being pushed away by members of your own family. If I were you I would remind your M.I.L. that Jesus teaches to "hate the sin, love the sinne...

Implode, it's Chuck (PlasteredDragon on MOTL). The MOTL user Goaswerfraiejen would almost certainly want that card as he c...

Trading Etiquette for Global Set Collectors
I just posted an article on the Stone Rain Project about pursuing multiple lines of inquiry when looking for cards for a global set. I'm curious as to how people feel about that, etiquette-wise? The basic thrust of the article is that most of the people who contact me, I never hear from again. Leads...

I have a box of these 8th Edition fakes but not a single Stone Rain! The distribution is extremely bad, and I'm not even sure the entire set exists. For example out of a single box I have as many as 3 to 5 of the same rare. So I'm not even sure Stone Rain actually exists from this "set" Wow! Can an...
