For the binders that I mentioned previously on this thread, I looked at all of the descriptions online and I was worried that the Vario binders would be too small for 9-pocket pages. I ended up ordering a binder meant for Vario pages and one meant for Grande pages and found that the Vario binders ar...

I don't know how many boxes my local store is getting, but they've decided that no one can buy boxes. Everything is going to be sold through drafts where each draft is $28 per person (three packs plus one pack toward prizes). The first drafts will run Friday night, and then more on Saturday until th...

I hope there's an implicit "sleeve the cards" before the shuffling step.

As I opened up this thread, I was thinking that you were going to make fun of people that keep posting their 70/30 centered cards as miscuts and expecting large premiums. The Honus Wagner auction was actually fun to look at. Just think how many Magic cards the second place bidder could get with his ...

For those people using binders to store cards, do you sleeve your cards?

Thanks. My wife says that Daniel Pennac looks interesting and that she'll probably start with one of his books.

I was thinking of something more recent (like within the last 20 years), but those are actually really good suggestions. Sometimes its hard to think of the obvious.

I'd love to hear more, if you have any other suggestions.

I've been looking at binders with sewn-in pages, and I think that likely the UltraPro Premium Pro-Binder is the way to go: http://sales.starcitygames.com/carddisplay.php?product=232121 The main advantages over the Monster binder is that the plastic is free of PVC and there isn't a pattern on the bla...

French young adult book/author recommendations

My wife is learning French and one of the things that has helped her learn other languages is to read books in the language that she is learning. She has looked at some of the books that are available in French, but many of them are books that have been translated from English or other languages. I'...

That's what I'm thinking of as well. I can always use something else to go on the wall in my game room.

Magic-related art book on Kickstarter

I don't think that anyone posted this here yet, but a 20th anniversary book focusing on the original Magic artists is now live on Kickstarter: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1464555500/the-gathering-reuniting-pioneering-artists-of-magi The number of backers has risen pretty quickly, so it looks...

I'm still looking around, but these look like some nice binders: http://www.ebay.com/itm/5-NEW-Lighthouse-Red-Vario-G-Classic-Binders-50-off-/290825822489?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item43b691e119 I like the binder rings, as it looks almost impossible to damage a card in the rings. There are also Bi...

I've been pondering the same question about how to store cards in a binder, and I'm leaning toward perfect fit sleeves. I was thinking about Monster binders since then you never have to worry about damage from binder rings, but the Ultra Pro line of Pro binders are similar in design, but they are PV...
