Re: who collects what?

I collect the cards that quote Edgar A. Poe- Urborg- Legends Phantom Monster-  Alpha-5th Frozen Shade-  Alpha-5th Marsh Viper- 5th Death Pits of Wrath- 8th I'm also going for one of every card in English (96% done), as well as misprints. I concentrate on variety, working on one of every "t...

Re: blue bordered cards

Motorcity is right. I have grey bordered & blue bordered cards, with the blue being the same color as the background on the screen. Most are commons, but my blueist is a Hand of Justice.

Charlie Brown- this one's new to me

Okay, so we've all been aquainted with the Charlie Brown story, right? http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=mtgcom/arcana/252 The thing is, I came across a foriegn one (green), with the same problem. It does not have the same cartoon bit as shown on the link, it shows a girl next to a car. Do any of...

Re: crimps vs. summer 4th

I look at it this way- 4th is done being printed, many don't even know they have them. Crimps keep being printed, could be in any pack at any time. I prefer a cool looking card that glows bright yellow under a blacklight vs. a card w/ ridges....

Don't cramp your brain doing Beta. But thanks for the info.

Re: Magic: Exact Rarities

Alpha rares were left over (why I don't know) & the original batch of Beta had some Alpha in it. I'm guessing at the time they could have cared less that the corners were different.

From what I understand, it was only rares, & only in starters.

Re: Summer Magic in Inquest

Exactly! I bought Revised starters for that reason. Within the past 5 years, I've seen a lot of old school packs opened. With the exception of a few Preachers in $5 Dark packs, I have seen absolute garbage opened. Nothing that stacked up to the price of the pack. I'm considering purchasing a Summer ...

Re: Mercadian Masques amazing misprint

Looks cool...

By my above post, I certianly didn't mean to imply it was only worth $15... I value it at much more I'd say. I haven't seen any since then, & anything else worthwhile has only gone up in price in the past 2 years.

Re: Mercadian Masques amazing misprint

Welcome ende73! I personally own 5 of these MM misprints, & they rank up there as my favorites. The FE scan above represents a similar situation as the cards we are talking about. Here is what I have been told, & accept as truth (anyone correct me if I am wrong)- the MM misprints have a normal backi...

Re: BLUE BORDERS CARDS.POSTS COMPILATION.

I am not sure, but it is possible that IA was printed in more than one place, resulting in the different colorings. I know for sure that Mirage was, & there is a noticable differnce in the inkage. The common misprints I have seen in IA are the "grey" borders (not blue like FE), glossy & thick kind, ...

Re: News on Gamingjim

It's the truth, I herd this a week or so ago. Now, I guess we will wait & see what is up with his new company & all. I want more rarities, & T&T has little left for me to aspire to getting (that is listed anyways). I hope all that Summer that has disappeared over the last 2 months is in his hands. T...

Re: Some odd mtg items/misprints....

I got my double printed @ $10 a while back, someone had it for a while & after showing it off he was tired of having it. Anything odd or old that surfaces in my area ends up in my hands eventually. Ten was his price, arguably low... But then again, this one I own is the only one I've seen. I'd love ...
