Re: new misprints

The cards were provided by forum member coolio. Let him speak for himself. Personally, I have heard of the existence of standard cards with a prerelease date stamp before, so I believe they are real.

Misprint prerelease Fleetfoot Panther & Guard Dogs

Dear members, I have been sent scans of two misprint cards. Since these cards currently do not fit thematically in the misprints section, yet are interesting to look at and deserve to be added in some way after I will have revised the misprint section (which may take some time), I decided to publish...

Re: Most prized M:TG item

mintcollector: Excellent memory, mintcollector! I have looked it up and the advertisement is indeed in issue #2.

l0qii: Since mintcollector is so nice to send you the magazine for free, do you still need a scan of the advertisement?

I0qii: This advertisement was printed in color in an old issue of the The Duelist magazine.

Re: lost in limbo

I would consider these cards to be very classical cases of misprints. They are a product of a whole print run, and, due to multiple copies per print sheet, they also have non-misprinted counterparts of equal rarity. If I am to add misprints, these cards will be the first to be added.

Re: Idea: Search feature?

motorcitymagic: :o :o :o I was not aware this is possible. I will still try to add an in-built seach engine some time in the future, but for now, this is an excellent solution.

Re: Idea: Search feature?

The idea is good, but I have no idea how to implement this feature. I guess it will require a lot of learning in my part which definitely places it further down on my to-do list.

Re: How do i know the difference..

Experience has shown that the white-bordered counterparts of black-bordered sets in non-English languages are all hard to get because they all exist in very limited numbers. The Japanese white-bordered Fourth Edition set should not be any different. Personally, I doubt this set was distributed only ...

Re: How do i know the difference..

While the secret of the S-Chinese 5th Edition set has been uncovered a while ago, others have not. The following sets are not even known by their number of cards they consist of: - Korean 4th Edition (apparently this set only exists black-bordered) - Korean 5th Edition - Traditional Chinese 5th Edit...

Re: How big of a threat?

In the very beginning, Crazy Clowns tokens were very cheap. When Bob and I discovered them, they were worth between $ 3 US and $ 5 US a piece. At that time none were offered on ebay. I obtained the majority of mine from different sources in Hong Kong and Taiwan. The price rush started a good while l...

Re: How big of a threat?

bigfatkitty: Thanks for the offer but I think showcasing fake cards on this site is out of focus. However, in case Twink is willing to include Crazy Clowns token cards to his fake card guide, this could be a good start.

Re: How big of a threat?

I0qii: I think your site is very useful. I will add a link to it.
By the way, I think dragsamou is correct. Fake Crazy Clowns tokens should be documented somewhere, and they are off focus for my site.

Re: 8th edition German Demogame packs for 2 player

Unfortunately, the text does not give away much. It says: This demogame contains 22 cards of the trading card game Magic the Gathering (R) plus a small manual which guides you through the game step by step - everything two players need to learn the basics of the game.
