When I started actually playing outside our casual playgroup, all the decks were really bad. My best deck had relatively fast clock and almost decent three colored mana base, so it was doing relatively well... Until I got to play against the best player in town. He won the die roll, played some Moxe...

Knight Exemplar sightings
These sem to be becoming a little more accessible. Several people have been finding that if the blister pack had one Knight, there are nearly always more in the batch sent to that store. One MtGS-member has now 12-13 of these. The price has also dipped, with some sold out very quickly at 20 $ each. ...

Emblem backs
Hello Gary, I have english Sorin Emblem with "All things Magic (tm)" -back. It's most likely from european box, but I mainly picked it up after seeing Jason showing only FNM-backs on his copies. I haven't had a chance to see other emblem backs yet, so these can be common. I can send that one to you,...

Yeah I know it's only misspelled, but I've certainly gotten burned by that card in EDH several times. Tickled my funny bone.

Lihtning Bolt
How on earth did the Lightning Bolt end up at 555$? This is almost double what they have gone before (~300ish, graded 400). I was pretty certain that I could pick this one now, but since I'm on a completely different time zone, and with small kids, I'm one person, who needs to just to bid and hope. ...

Russian stores
I'm currently doing business with Amberson.ru, which normally only sells inside Russia, but the owner was nice enough to allow me to buy a pretty nice selection of cards. The site is only in russian, but card names are in english and they have (had :-P ) plenty of foils. His prices were also very go...

Event decks
As was pointed above, the cards are almost indisguishable from Worldwake originals. All the Event decks cards have different colour depth than the regulars. Just the same as with the Deckbuilder toolbox cards. If you have a pile with both versions, you can always tell, which cards came from a differ...

Re: Russian boxes
But if you don't find any other source, I can try to order a box or two and send some boosters your way at cost. (If they get any russian product this time.) --Tuomas I have 2 boxes of russian NP incoming at 89 € per box (+ 30 € postage) along with a box of Russian M11, so if anybody still needs so...

Russian boxes
Magic Bazar in France has russian boxes at reasonable prices. I'll be ordering a box or two from them when New Phyrexia comes out. Unfortunately they don't have any loose boosters listed and they don't have that many older russian boxes (at least when I checked some months back). They sold Russian M...

Scandinavian Starter sets
Just one additionto Drags. The Starter 99 Norwegian/Danish/Finnish/Swedish This was only a rules insert, that was manually added to te Starter-99 starter kits by the importer. Then the box got a sticker telling that they contain rules in that language. The cards themselves are in english. I know as ...

These situations suck. I could never understand why WotC approved the old shrink wrapping system, where the ends of boxes were left partially open. I also have some old boxes where the booster count most likely doesn't match, but I got them pretty cheaply because of it. Anyeays if you decide to open...

Other TCC's
Jyhad cards used to sell very well, untill some were reprinted 5-6 years ago. You are still (?) allowed to play them with the newer Vampire TCC, so I'd imagine that you can find players. Lo5R should also sell pretty well, but I don't have any ideas if there are still some chase cards or would bulk b...

Upside back foils
Just as a warning. During Onslaught some foils had a tendency to peel very cleanly while being handled, usually during shuffling (without sleeves naturally). Some players and traders used this to their advantage glueing the foil-layer back on the cards upside down. As the foils cannot really be bend...

Cone of Flame: no AA Good to know. I just got the chinese ones and seemed to recall seeing the bone structure of the blasted creatures in the english version, but I believe you swiss. Saved me the effort to dig for the regular ones. Anyway slightly better scans than above of the chinese foil and no...
