Authenticating 8th Ed test prints

I have an unfortunate history of picking up things I don't know enough about. Can anyone tell me a little the 8th Edition alternate frame test prints? Especially, are they printed on normal cardstock?

Wow, congratulations on the price! Too rich for my blood, sadly. I thought for sure my bid was high enough. It says a lot about our community here that a guy with 129 feedback can get $600 for one of these without posting a picture of the actual card, while the last seller didn't even get $80 per ca...

Thanks for posting the front pictures. I put lowball bids on all these to make sure I would be comfortable with the total cost if I were to win all four, and it was getting to be time to decide which one to actually go for.

I'm curious who is bidding $20-30 on these things. I put down some bids that I consider lowballs since I don't really want all four at a fair price, but I want to win at least one so I can go higher on one or two as I get outbid. But I'm still winning...!

At that price, I'll take two! No, it didn't sell, which is why I give some thought to the idea that it could have been a hoax. It seemed from the listing that the guy would have been in financial trouble by now and would eventually have sold it rather than holding on to this idea that nobody could h...

Yes, but nobody wants to be the early worm :)

The Max Attack deck was offered on Ebay a few years ago. It's possible it was an elaborate hoax or a failed scam, but it was well done enough that it's hard to believe it failed as a scam.

I bid on them! That makes sense, and is what I would have suggested too I guess. The lands just seem more desirable to me than anything else in that deck apart from the Siege-Gang Commander and Goblin Warchief, and even with two decks out there they are extremely rare. I can imagine what you might h...

T&T hasn't had them listed for years, have they? Mostly I ask to make sure I'm not just missing a category hidden somewhere on their site. I once ordered a plush toy and some Magic cards from them at the same time. They came together in a big box, with the cards unsleeved in a team bag loose beside ...

If I read Wizards' site correctly, there would be 15 duplicate lands in the deck (with the one missing already). Is the intention to make them available to the winning bidder if they want more than one, or are you hanging on to them for now, or what? I guess I'm just confused by the statements "I am...

It's going to be a nail-biter until they arrive for sure. However, I think double that price would not be too far out of line if the risk could be removed.

Wow, that does seem like an extremely good price.

Do you want me to try to meet the guy, or are you going to trust Buyer Protection?

I didn't mean to suggest that you were being unfair to anyone here. I just thought you were selling yourself short (I think a basic land is worth more than your model would have you sell it for). I apologize if I was unclear, but no part of that was intended to be a complaint.

It may not be the same for different sets, as some had four different precons and some had five. I would expect those with five to be sheets with two copies of the same deck, while those with four could be either way. In this case we now know of two copies of Goblin Mob and one Max Attax, so whether...
