Re: Charlie Brown- this one's new to me

Well, cool, we've narrowed down the language. I was always under the impression that this was just a mistake in English until I saw this one. Are any of you aware of any that are of a different language? On a side note, I have yet to personally see the English green medallion like this. I find that ...

Re: Charlie Brown- this one's new to me

What language? I think it is German.

Smaragdmedaillon

Deine grunen Zauberspruche kosten 1 weniger.

I cannot be sure, but I assume that is German. Someone please inform me if they can.

Re: More HP backed cards?

In theory, aren't two starters printed on each sheet? This could be the other one.

Did anyone contact him? I'd imagine one of our trusted members lives somewhat close to him.

Re: Where members are living.

I am studying "France French". I started about a month ago, so I am no good at this point, that's for sure. I have a translation/ pronunciation book that a friend of mine & I read (she & I each have our own copy). I also watch the news in French, it has English translations across the bottom. With m...

Re: Where members are living.

I live in Cincinnati, Ohio, not too far from the Kentucky border. I frequent shows in Columbus & Indy fairly often. Not too bad of an area... I seem to have this area all to myself, most of you are a few states away, if not further. I just started studying French, so in a few years I'll have to visi...

Re: Very strange misprint.

Oh, okay, I own a spore cloud/ dwarven something-or-other card like that. In person, mine is the only one I've seen. One of the other dealers posted on here about his too, I forget what one though, it is an older topic. He had a link w/ a scan. From what I understand, a few- or less- sheets were run...

Re: Very strange misprint.

Is that just really DARK? The picture is small, I assume that is all that is wrong. I can't tell exactly. If this is the case, I own several, mostly from Mirage & Visions. I also own some that are misaligned so the print is all blurry. They give me a headache. But info? It does not look like the dou...

Re: how many do you know in person?

I know gamingjim, & motorcitymagic said he met me once while I was in Detroit walking around with all of my misprints. I am leaving momentarily to go to Indy (with my misprints, most of them), so speak up if you see me. I'll be wearing a Stephen King shirt...

Re: Scourge misprints

Mmmm... bugs in cards. Sounds like a Garbage Pail Kids kind of thing.

I have a few Exodus cards that have imprints of hair on them. Not like the Runesword bit, but some actual depth to them that go across the cards in a haphazard manor. They are unusual & interesting to say the least.

Re: M Card on EBay.

Wow, I own 3 "M' cards, glad to know I own 25% of the print run! Now, I'd imagine that several of the other regulars have one or two, who has the other 9?

Ugh, I wish there were only that few, I'd be rich! But the real question is how many are there actually out there, & what sets did they appear in?

Re: who collects what?

What advice can I give on collecting Unlimited? Other than "go for it", not much. I hope you live in the U.S. it'll be cheaper, I'd imagine.

I'm going for all sets, I'm missing about 30 Unlimited cards, only one being P9- the Recall.

Re: New official article about magic counterfeits

I think a simple solution is to allow (in T1 tourneys) proxies of the expensive cards to be used, like writing "Mox Jet" on a Swamp, & having the real thing there with you. We do this at our local shop. Why? I own 40+ pieces if power, not to mention everything else people want. I loan it out to frie...

Re: who collects what?

I collect the cards that quote Edgar A. Poe- Urborg- Legends Phantom Monster-  Alpha-5th Frozen Shade-  Alpha-5th Marsh Viper- 5th Death Pits of Wrath- 8th I'm also going for one of every card in English (96% done), as well as misprints. I concentrate on variety, working on one of every "t...
