Blocked Avatar

Yes, Alexis, my Avatar is out of commission for the moment. It's been disconnected till I pay my bill. I'm using my employer's ISP to visit here. Times are tight.

Dire Wolves

The 3G Dire Wolves pic is from the Magic the Gathering Official Encyclopedia Volume 1. There are several examples of cards from the various encyclopedia volumes with incorrect info. The publisher receives preliminary art which gets changed later prior to printing of the actual card.

Pic Thieves

Now I understand, and agree with the premise. Others making money off your hard work (and Forum members') without permission or remuneration should, at the least, be made extremely difficult. Though it would be nice to have pics available to Forum members by private request, I realize that would be ...

Downloading Pics

Dragsamou,

Sorry if I missed the discussion, but is it your intention that pictures not be downloadable?
I tried both the small and large versions, and neither works. This was my main source for pics to use in my own collection database.

News From Minneapolis

I know there are several members like myself from Minneapolis. Though it's a bridge I travel often, it had been at least a week since I was last on it. No one I know, so far, was involved, but it's a horrifying and heart-wrenching scene; small, by global standards, but enormous when it happens "here...

How Many Cards

I've somewhat stagnated the last couple of years and been stuck at around 55,000. They're all boxed by edition, sorted by color, alphabetized, and in my computer. I now build decks solely through my CardKeep(c) program, picking them from lists, searches, and scans. Once that's done, then I go to the...

Avatar Size

I put mine together using Jasc Paint Shop Pro and Jasc Animation Shop from various pieces. At the time, it was the Forum software's max size: 65x65. I could simply enlarge it, but being the stickler for quality that I am, I'd rather redo it from the originals. I'll put it on my list of fun mini-proj...

Is there any thought to having a standard size Avatar? Not necessarily square, but confined to a 100x100 pixel area (the size of dragsamou's avatar), for example? Occasionally, we get a very huge one (no comments!) that distorts the columns on the page.

Red Stripe

I just show the placeholder. Right-clicking -> Show Image also doesn't bring it up. I pulled the URL from the source (http://www.powernine.com/cardimages/RedTape_S.jpg) and tried it alone. It gave me the message that no such address exists. When I then backed up the directory tree, PowerNine immedia...

Your link doesn't work. Evidently PowerNine.com doesn't permit direct links to its pictures.

Favorite Rarity

My favorite rarity is actually a set of them. Early on, I made a 5-color deck using only Arena 1 lands. Every time I play it, they go, "Cool! Where did you get those?" :-D

Ralph is leaving

Ralph, Your decision, though suspected for a while, is nonetheless sad to hear. It is the cyclical passing of an era. And because of that, two sides embrace to bring both sadness and excitement. You are at the beginning of your adult life. Projects and goals will evolve, change, morph, and split off...
