That will cheapen the web site. The magic Library died with Ralph. All I see is desolation. A wasteland before my eyes. The empty black abyss.

"Q: "One of the main reasons that my friends and I play Magic is because the art on the cards is often incredible. The pictures on the Ravnica lands are amazing! I was wondering is Wizards has ever considered selling posters of card art? I know many people who would love to get some of the best card art on their walls!"

A: From Alexandra Tinsman, Magic Brand:

"Hi Paul,

"Posters? This is Magic... we can do better than that.

"Beginning this October, we will begin selling limited-edition, high-quality collector's series Magic art prints and canvasses featuring the artwork of paint-masters such as Greg Staples, Scott Fisher and Donato Giancola.

"The first batch of art pieces includes:

"Mahamoti Djinn" by Greg Staples

"Serra Angel" by Greg Staples

"Hypnotic Specter" by Greg Staples

"Viridian Shaman" by Scott Fischer

"Shivan Dragon" by Donato Giancola

"The art pieces will be available in two different forms:

18â€￾x24â€￾ prints with mattes and a Certificate of Authenticity for $49 each

18â€￾x24â€￾ canvases with black wood frames and a Certificate of Authenticity for $299 each

"Make sure that you act fast. There are only 1,000 limited edition prints and 250 limited edition canvasses. The prints are sequentially numbered and signed by the artists; the canvasses are hand-signed and also hand-numbered.

"Check out the Shivan Dragon and Viridian Shaman. We'll have more images up soon, so keep checking back!"

Re: Mega Rarities sale!!!!!

As I said in the previous thread, I can 100% confirm that these came attached to the display stands used in the UK to sell MTG cards in shops. There were never tropies or promotional items, simply decoration for the shop stands. Each stand usually had two, one on each side. The metal I think must be...

Re: What stupid card do you collect?

All the UK players on the board should know a certain someone who collects Moxes, I dont want to say his name in case he is a member here and does not want the agro. I think his current count is just under 100, ranging from Alpha to Unlimited. Now thats a collection!

Re: question 2: planeshift alt art print runs?

If my memory is working correctly I believe in Europe you can only get the alt art cards in the boosters, and the standard foil versions were never included. This means you could never open the standard foil versions making them quite rare here.

Re: Magic Alternate Art prints?

These were all produced for a Magic The Gathering Calendar years ago. I'm sorry but I forget the exact year. It was just following the Mirage block though (obviousily). If anyone still has a copy of this calendar PM me as I would love to get a copy back (I binned mine years ago)  ;D
