Starter 1999 2 Player Starter Set Cards

Starter is the fourth and last starter level product which has been distributed in boosters. It was released in July 1999 and exists only in English, a last attempt to establish a profitable series of starter level products. Starter is basically a reprint set, consisting mainly of reprinted cards from Portal, Portal Second Age, and different editions of the Core Set. In addition, Starter introduced 26 new cards, some of which have been reprinted in the meanwhile, for a total of 173 Starter cards, all featuring a white border. Aside from boosters, Starter has been distributed in 2 Player Starter Sets which also exist in an enhanced US (WOC17054) and European version (WOC17078), called Starter Gift Box, with additional contents: * 80 Starter cards divided into 2 preconstructed of Two 40-card decks (2 x 40) * 1 enhanced rule book with 6th Edition rules * 1 player guide which covers 1 demo game * 2 playmats to explain the different game zones * 2 glass life counters * 1 Angel of Light poster by Todd Lockwood * 1 instructional video WOC17080 (US Gift Box edition only) and WOC17082 (European Gift Box edition only) * 1 oversized Starter Thorn Elemental card (Gift Box edition only) * SKU: WOC17048 * ISBN: 1-57530-711-1 * GTIN: 7 42818 17048 2 Another Starter version exists (more info to be found): WOC17050 ISBN: 1-57530-713-8 UPC: 7 42818 17050 5 The Starter 2 Player Starter Set, was also included in a sealed Starter Kit that contained: * 1 Starter instructional video * 1 Starter 2 Player Starter Set * 1 Starter Sixth Edition 2 Player Starter Set * 3 boosters Sixth Edition * SKU: ? * ISBN: ? * GTIN: ? 8 of the Starter cards are not available in standard Starter boosters and hence can be considered non-standard cards. 7 of these cards are also available in Starter Demo Game boosters.
