MagicCon: Secret Lair Prize Cards and Other Promos

MagicCon, is a new festival event series that further celebrates Magic four more times in 2023. They are part of Magic's 30th anniversary celebrations that started with Magic 30. Dates: February 17–19, 2023: MagicCon: Philadelphia. May 5–7, 2023: MagicCon: Minneapolis. July 2023: MagicCon in Europe. September 22–24, 2023: MagicCon: Las Vegas and Magic World Championship XXIX. Each MagicCon features: A Command Zone A Cosplay Contest with increased prizes Festival in a Box promotions — festival content delivered at home. Story and Design panels The Art of Magic — artist booths A Pro Tour tournament as the main event. A Black Lotus VIP event featuring Dominaria Remastered Dedicated On-Demand Events Game Nights Live Secret Lair Showdown The Unknown – a surprise event hosted by Gavin Verhey Two Opens that qualify directly to second Pro Tour Starting with MagicCon Philadelphia that will take place February 17–19, 2023, Secret Lair Prize cards were introduced as prizes for the 2022–23 Pro Tour Season and will play host to some MTG events, including: Secret Lair Showdown. The format for the Secret Lair Showdown Qualifiers and Championship at MagicCon: Philadelphia is Pioneer. Secret Lair Showdowns will happen only at each MagicCon stop and will award the following unique non-foil cards: Each player who participates in a Secret Lair Showdown will receive a Fatal Push Promo. The top 8 players of each qualifier will earn a spot in the Secret Lair Showdown Championship, which takes place on Sunday. The 32 players who compete in Secret Lair Showdown Championship events on Sunday in 2023 will each receive a Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer prize card. The winner of the Showdown Championship will receive a Brainstorm prize card. This Brainstorm will be one of the Only four that can be won at a MagicCon events in 2023.  Secret Lair Showdown prizes. In 2023, cards in the style of Secret Lair will be given out for prizes for doing well in a tournament. All Pro Tour participants will earn the non-foil Jace, the Mind Sculptor. NEED UPGRADE MAGICCON LAS VEGAS PROMOS 2023 Attendees at MagicCon: Las Vegas that took place September 22–24.2023 did have a chance to receive an exclusive TARDIS promo card while supplies last when they take their most Doctor-worthy selfie at a special, custom-built Doctor Who™ photo opportunity at the show. The TARDIS promo card was the first time you can get your hands on a Magic: The Gathering® – Doctor Who™ card. MAGICCON LAS VEGAS PROMOS 2023 ART ( 1/1)  Tardis illustrated by Chris Ostrowski. NEED UPGRADE MAGICCON CHICAGO PROMOS 2024 By purchasing any Badge packages for MagicCon: Chicago (February 23–25, 2024), they all came with a Non-Foil or Traditional Foil Counterspell promo card. The Secret Lair Showdown is back for 2024 – with new exclusive Secret Lair prize cards! Each player who participates in a Secret Lair Showdown Qualifier will earn a Spell Pierce. Players who qualify for the Secret Lair Showdown Championship on Sunday will get a special prize card version of Murktide Regent when they compete in the big event. The winner of each Secret Lair Showdown Championship will win Dark Ritual. There will be four Dark Ritual prize cards awarded to players through the Secret Lair Showdown. Three of these events in 2024 will take place at MagicCon, and we'll have more information on a fourth opportunity to win a Dark Ritual in the coming months. MagicCon: Chicago also plays host to Pro Tour Murders at Karlov Manor, where hundreds of the very best Magic players around the world will compete for their share of $500,000 and the title of champion. Pro Tour players will also get their hands on a sweet new Secret Lair prize card, which has been refreshed for 2024. This year's card is none other than Wrenn and Six, featuring the artwork of renowned artist and longtime Magic fan Ricardo Cavolo—showing off a stunning and distinct Secret Lair look. For this year, all Pro Tour and Magic World Championship participants will receive a non-foil copy of Wrenn and Six to commemorate their participation on the world's stage for competitive Magic. Additionally, Top 32 finishers in Pro Tours happening in 2024, as well as this year's Magic World Championship, will receive a traditional foil copy!
