Re: square cut oversized island
Obviously these had miscut problems just like regular magic cards. I just sold Dragsamou a Jester's Cap where the bottom two corners were square.

Re: square cut oversized island
if anyone ever gets a crimped one, please let me know. I would be very interested in that item. Also, the same goes for a crimped vanguard card.
I can't believe I ate the whole thing
Re: square cut oversized island
Is a crimped Oversized card possible? I mean, does the packing process for oversized card is the same than "normal" cards?

Re: square cut oversized island
I'm pretty sure that the oversize cards were never distributed in packs at all, so no, I don't think crimping is possible.
Re: square cut oversized island
I've seen many packed oversized card (magazine promos) but they were never packed like "normal cards"

Re: square cut oversized island
If I remember correctly the original Vanguard set (8 cards) came wrapped in a clear cellophane wrapper inside the Vanguard box (which had foreign language packs and whatnot). Crimps are possible, but probably less noticable than 'regular' crimped cards.
My Vanguard box was stolen when my car was stolen last year - if anyone has one lying around LMK.

I have packs of 6x9 basic lands as well as Adarkar Wastes and Karplusan Forest. They are all wrapped in shrink-wrap cellophane, so it seems unlikely that there would be any crimps, but there could very well be marks from handling.
Re: square cut oversized island
Looking at my 6x9 land packs, it looks like while its in a heat-sealed plastic wrapper, there is no crimping along the edge. You'd wind up with a wicked crush line on the top and bottom cards, though, if it was misaligned. I'd guess that the likelihood of such a pack getting into the wild is slim, though. The sealed region is about as deep as a normal Magic booster, but the pack is a good 3/8" thick.

Re: square cut oversized island
I once had a "crimped" card from and Invasion tournament pack. The tab from the top flap had been pushed down on top of the card, bending both the flap and the card. It was really quite amusing at the time, though I threw out the card and no longer have the box.
