Does those cards should be added in the Irregular Standard cards section ?

I think, Starter sets and these "Sample decks" may deserve a section of their own. These have been put out for years now and full a specific purpose.

well they aren't as easy to find as regular cards from booster... on MKM for example, the stock of M15 Mahamoti is around 30, whereas a regular rare found in M15 boosters has a stock of around 1500... And the rarity symbol isn't very accurate : for example in the blue sample deck, you have one cancel (unco) and one mahamoti djinn (rare), so the rare card is as rare as the unco one...

to be back on the available languages, t-chinese is the only language where I have no information.

(I still don't have physical proof of korean, japanese and russian, but it seems they are confirmed by members here)

This may or may not help with languages. But in addition to the sample decks it appears they will be in the DotP boosters (if this info is correct). One might assume that they would then be availabele in whatever languages the DotP boosters are published in. M-15 #270 to 264.

I opened a Deck Builder Kit today, and can confirm that these reprints are in it.

This has been true of all of the special printings for years. The PDS, DD, Starter sets, Event decks, Into decks, builder kits, give away sample decks, theme decks, ad infinitum, ad nausium

As you mentioned, the rarities are not even relevant to the set they are in, thus they have no relevance to the total card pool.

If we knew how many of a given special printing was made we could establish their rarity within that set but without some detectable difference in the printing of a set, once they are released into the card pool they just blur the collectability of that card overall. Thus:
1) there may be three sources of the M-15 Djinn (DotP Sample decks Builder kits--in English at least)
2) Because these are probably different printings they really are three different collectable Djinns.
3) If enough of each of these are printed, M-15 Djinns may be more common than other rares in the M-15 set.
4) because there are no known numbers (by us) to truly have "every" M-15 Djinn, you need one from each printing.

For my collecting I have gathered one of each special printing (forgot to get the builder sets early on though) and include them in my data base with a rarity of, i.e. U-set to just show how it is marked.

Probably not a big challenge for you but it will increase the number of cards you will be able to show off.

thanks for the update Gary ! I will search for DotP boosters to verify this. If there are 3 different printings, there's no possibility to make any difference between the cards, so I think I'm going to stay with one of each language, it's already hard enough :)

I'm not ready to collect all sealed product that could countain one...

and by the way, Hiromichi kindly confirmed me Japanese exist, and I got a s-chinese mahamoti from ebay, so that leaves only Russian and S-chinese to be confirmed

still waiting for some news from my russian contact :s (in the meantime, if someone has a confirmation of it and can grab me a mahamoti, I'm interested )
