These may be the books about the storys of each set. ???
It says a review of the visions expansion, what ever that means. :-/

I agree that it's simply a rating of some sort for the cards in the new expansions and outlining different strategies that can be used.  The authors of the books were well known players of the time and aren't affiliated with WOTC at all.

As dry_cereal already started to explain, these are two of a series of unofficial books from Wordware Publishing, mostly written by some of the more famous people in the Magic tournament environment, covering specific sets on a card by card basis.

And they can usually be found in the 'unsold for 7 years' section of a local gaming store near you..

Gryfalia: This is a pity. These books are far more interesting than many of the so-called memorabilia which are frequently discussed in this forum.

giediprime41: Zen-Master, I like that :) Nonetheless, I like to listen to metal music as well :P

For the record, my statement in my previous post was serious in nature.

is that more sarcasm?  These books are no where near as interesting as my Wizard of the Coast coasters (for drinks)

and, if anyone is actually interested in this, I have a hookup.
