2012 Pre-release promos. No date??

The promo that I got at the pre-release does not have a date on it and none of the ones given out at that store did. New thing by WotC or a bad batch??

seems to be the regular version now without date, same here in germany

I played at the pre-release in Rome and it didn't have a date. I thought it was just an Italian thing. I was curious and asked someone at the store and was told they had been doing it this way for awhile there, so I assumed that they would still have the date on the English ones. I'll be bummed if the English ones don't have dates any longer.
