Wizard1s 3D Cards - M10 POLYMORPH FINISHED!
So beginning right before GP New Jersey NOV 2006 I decided to start creating 3D cards similar to the ones found on ebay. But instead of doing it the easy way using spacers to create the 3D effect I decided to do it the very time consuming way of using approx 15-20 cards and building the 3D effect layer by layer. Below are my current and past projects.
PROJECT #7 - M10 Shivan Dragon
Past Projects
M10 Polymorph
Shivan Dragon
Courier Hawk
Slipstream Eel
Silhana Ledgewalker
Restore Balance
Please Tell me what you think of them. Thanks.

here's a slightly bigger pic. Im only using my cell phone camera b/c my regular one cant handle closeup shots too well. The Slipstream was my first one and the only reason why I chose that one was because that was really the only non really detailed one that I could find that I had like 5 days before GP Toronto. Plus since it was my first one I didnt want to do it to a card that might have been worth somthing.Royal Ass. wrote:Those look really cool. I wish the picture was bigger so we could see better detail. What made you chose those specific cards?
As for the Hawk, almost the same thing but there really wasnt anything else that I had multiples of to make. Plus the fact that I sorta decided to go to GP New Jersey 2 days before the actual event.heh
Done!
A BIG thanks goes out to the few of you that helped to contribute to my cause. With 15 regular ones and 2 Foil ones here is the final product. Again please let me know what you think (Besides the fact that I have too much time [and glue] on my hands)
I havent even thought of what my next card will be yet. But I am open to suggestions. Ive thought of doing this one card but I dont exactly remember the name of the card. Its a green card from Ravnica block (common I think) that shows a person watching over Ravnica city from the corner ledge of a building.

I did Boros Signet for a friend. Talk about painfully intricate. He wanted me to do Golgari Signet afterward, I told him to forget it. As cool as it would have looked (the layering is great for this kind of thing), It wasn't worth the effort. Doing this is (if you get good) a great way to turn your chaff commons and bulk rares into actual money, though. I've sold a few at 20-30 USD, which is way more than the cards are worth. Not bad for like 1 or 2 hours in front of the television.AzureWinter wrote:I've done farseek already. I showed it to wizard1 before. Then some local store owner in ottawa (ontario canada) wanted it for $50 so I was like "SURE"!
Currently I'm doing Tangle Wire, which is driving me insane because of the number of wires on the picture.
